WMF has launched its MultiMilk system, a new addition to its WMF 5000 S+ fully automated coffee machine.

According to the company, the integrated milk system can deliver up to five different vegan coffee drinks as well as textured milk foam.

To reduce waste and extend product shelf-life, the plant-based milks are sent to the machine through a wand system directly from the packaging.

“We have intentionally refrained from transferring the products into an external container. Leaving the product in the Tetra Pak not only saves a work step but also protects the product from undesired exposure to oxygen. As a result, the raw ingredients have a longer shelf-life and food waste is prevented,” says WMF Head of Product Management Thomas Ege.

In addition to the milk alternatives in the MultiMilk system, the design team at WMF has also integrated a centre cooler in which another milk type can also be used. To use this feature the customer can connect the corresponding wand to the provided milk hose and select the beverage. The recipe management of the WMF 5000 S+ then knows exactly how to prepare the milk foam or beverage by using

In developing the MultiMilk system, WMF focused on the hygienic handling of milk by designing the WMF AutoClean. After each milk change, the cleaning system rinses the mixer and removes all residues.

For more than 170 years, WMF has been dedicated to achieving balance of design, functionality and quality. The company aims to cater for every business model in the coffee sector, stocking fully automatic machines for coffee specialities, filter machines, semi-automatic portafilters, as well as innovative digitalisation concepts.

In addition to this, a consulting service is provided to both national and international customers. In 2016, the WMF brand became part of the French SEB Groupe.
