Four world coffee championships are set to be held at World of Coffee Geneva later this month, with over 100 top competitors set to come together to vie for the global titles.
The World Latte Art Championship, World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship, World Cup Tasters Championship, and Cezve/Ibrik Championship will all be held at the event, which will run from 26-28 June 2025.
Between the four competitions, many aspects of the skills and creativity across the coffee sector will be on show.
The Latte Art Championship will highlight the creativity and precision of some of the most talented baristas in the world as they craft visually impressive designs, while the Coffee in Good Spirits Championship celebrates the fusion of coffee and mixology in the creation coffee-based cocktails.
The Cup Tasters Championship will see competitors approach eight triangulations of coffee to identify to the odd cup in a set of three using smell and taste, and is a test of sensory coffee cupping prowess.
The Cezve/Ibrik Championship honours one of the world’s oldest coffee traditions, and uses traditional pots to see competitors bring new flair to this historic brewing method.
In addition to the quartet of championships set to be held at the event, the Coffee Design Awards and Best New Product Awards will also be held.
The Specialty Coffee Association says it expects more than 13,000 professionals from 160+ countries to attend the event, which will include over 450 exhibiting companies.
World of Coffee Geneva will be held at the Palexpo Exhibition and Convention Centre.
