Allpress Espresso has restocked its Colombia Patio Bonito Gesha after securing of a second allocation of the popular coffee, sourced through Café Imports Australia.

Grown on Carlos and Paola Truillo’s family farm in Caldono, Cauca, the limited run was initially released for the Allpress x HARIO V60 Championships. However, QC Lead and Head Roaster at Allpress Melbourne, Arch Giotopoulos says feedback from cafés, baristas, and customers was too strong to ignore.

“The Trujillo’s work is extraordinary. On the cupping table, this coffee absolutely shone; nectarine brightness, strawberry-like acidity, silky toffee sweetness. It’s the kind of coffee you remember long after the last sip.”

Allpress says the restock of the Washed Gesha is a celebration of producers that continue to push boundaries in order to make coffees like this possible.

The coffee was grown at 1700 metres above sea level on the Trujillo’s nine-hectare farm, Finca Patio Bonito, in the Colombian highlands.

They have 13 varietals planted on their farm, with trained cupper and former green buyer Paola experimenting with new processing techniques such as anaerobic fermentation and thermal shock.
