The 2024 Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE) will again present the Australia’s Richest Barista competition with a prize pool of $40,000.
The competition is a knock-out format, fast-paced competition designed to exhibit barista talent to the global coffee industry and coffee lovers.
Taking place over the course of MICE2024 from 12 to 14 May at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, baristas will compete in three intense head-to-head rounds, Barista, Latte Art and Cup Tasting, that test their overall practical and sensory skills.
With just 32 competitor positions available, the winner will be the last barista standing who has achieved excellence in all rounds of coffee preparation and tasting.
There are currently 15 positions available for MICE2023 exhibitors, five positions available for association members, and 12 positions available for general industry members, including international baristas.
Applications close at 11:59pm on Friday 23 February 2024.
