Non-profit organisation StreetSmart Australia is celebrating 15 years of CafeSmart‘s contributions to its community-led campaigns with an event in Melbourne – and everyone is welcome.
Since its inception, CafeSmart has united Australia’s coffee community to raise millions of dollars for grassroots homelessness services. This funding has helped hundreds of small, local organisations working to support people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
To celebrate the cafe community’s help in raising funds for this growing cause over the past 15 years, the StreetSmart team will host the CafeSmart After Party at Veneziano Coffee Richmond on 13 November from 7pm. Tickets are $89, with the organisation aiming to raise an additional $30,000 towards this year’s campaign.
The event will be hosted by coffee podcast It’s Just Coffee and presented in partnership with Veneziano Coffee Roasters. CafeSmart says guests can look forward to Melbourne DJ Forever Grooves, food and drink, and a silent auction. One of the Principal Sponsors, La Marzocco, will provide the main prize: a La Marzocco Linea Mini and Pico Package.
For those who can’t make it in person, supporters can still get involved by donating a Virtual Coffee, with every $5 donation matched dollar-for-dollar by EcoBarista.
