Chadstone Shopping Centre’s 26,500-square metre fresh food precinct, The Market Pavilion, is set to open on 27 March 2025 in Melbourne.

The precinct, first announced in 2022, will present more than 50 everyday and gourmet retailers.

The curated selection of fresh food and dining vendors include: Blakeaway, Brunetti Oro, Cannoleria, The Fishmonger, Flowers Vasette, Gewurzhaus, Green Cup Canteen, Hank’s Bagelry, Hey Tea, Koko Black, Little Sister Bakery, Champagne & Oyster Bar, Kaiten Sushi Train, That’s Amore Cheesery, Vic’s Meats, and Vintage Cellars among others.

The project is expected to attract 10 million annual visits.

“The design and retail offer in The Market Pavilion combines the best of the modern fresh food marketplaces one visits whilst in Europe with the ambience and much-loved brands that are enthusiastically embraced by Melburnians locally – reflecting the quality, variety and elevated consumer experience which Chadstone is known for,” says Daniel Boyle, Chadstone Centre Manager.

Premium guest services offered by The Market Pavilion’s Food Concierge will include personalised shopping experiences, grocery refrigeration storage, and menu planning featuring AI-generated recipe inspiration.

Adjoining The Market Pavilion, Chadstone will also unveil a re-energised Dining Laneway offering casual all-day dining and a broad range of cuisines. Dine-in and takeaway will be available from 11 outlets including Master Lanzhou Noodle Bar, Papa Rich, Panda Yum Cha, Seoul Garden, Shanghai Red, Sushi Sushi, Yo Chi, and YX Mini Hotpot.

“The iconic destination has reached a pivotal moment in its history where its brand and value, can be encapsulated in one word: Chadstone,” Chadstone’s joint owners, Gandel Group and Vicinity Centres, said in a statement.

“Already synonymous with world-class experiences and a first-to-market promise, the rebrand marks the precinct’s evolution as it retires ‘The Fashion Capital’ tagline that defined it for a generation.”

The Market Pavilion will welcome visitors from 8.30am on Thursday 27 March.
