Coffee Machine Technologies (CMT) has opened a new store showroom for retail in the heart of Carlton on Lygon Street in Melbourne.

The retail-based showroom, which debuted on Monday 7 February, will replace the Docklands location, which operated for 12 years as a warehouse-style showroom.

“Because this is a retail-based showroom, we’re displaying a variety of commercial and domestic machines for the domestic market, as after the pandemic, people have grown accustomed to making a coffee at home,” says Managing Director John Colangeli.

The showroom will be accompanied by a café that will open in the coming weeks, serving coffee and cannoli.

John says it embodies an upper-class, elegant design.

“We want to bring Italy back to Carlton by creating a nostalgic, old-Italian feel, with lightbox displays of Italian actors from the 60’s and Italian music played in the background of the showroom,” he says.

“A projector is also being installed and will play old-fashioned black and white photos of Italy, as well as old photos of people walking down Lygon Street so people can see what it looked like 30 years ago.”

With a commitment to excellence in customer service, CMT’s products are accompanied by comprehensive machine maintenance programs and a qualified team of friendly service technicians.

“The company built its reputation as one of the first independent service companies, ensuring personalised service by understanding its customer requirements, with immediate response for repairs by its trained technicians and introducing preventative maintenance solutions,” says John.

Coffee Machine Technologies has a large inventory of coffee equipment available, having secured exclusive international agreements for the world’s leading brands such as Fiorenzato, Elektra, La Marzocco, Tech Bar, Viper, Brugnetti, and Orchestrale, to name a few.

The company offers services, repairs, customisation, and refurbishments of new and old machines, and distributes its products and services through a national support infrastructure, allowing it to supply its services nationwide.
