Competition in the Gold Coast’s convenience coffee market just got stronger with the launch of Krispy Kreme’s largest drive-thru location in Australia, and the first drive-thru location from the brand to open in the region.

Whilst famed for its doughnuts, Krispy Kreme has been making moves in the coffee space over the past few years. After announcing a partnership with specialty roaster Pablo & Rusty’s in the creation of an RTD iced coffee in 2022, its menu has expanded to include coffee combos and a range of hot and cold coffee beverages.

The new store is located in Coomera, with metropolitan Queensland rapidly emerging as a leading region in Australian convenience and drive thru coffee.

“I’m feeling over the moon, I’m so excited to be at Coomera today,” says Krispy Kreme Australia & New Zealand Head of Retail Antonio Rivera.

“It’s been incredible to be part of this opening, meeting hundreds of guests, and getting to share with them the love of our doughnuts. Huge kudos to our Queensland team.”
