La Marzocco’s Wally Milk automatic steamer introduces endless possibilities for milk service.

Since its launch in 2021, the team at La Marzocco say the Wally Milk has introduced a sense of freedom to baristas and café owners globally. Handcrafted at the manufacturer’s Florentine headquarters, the automated milk steamer was developed to revolutionise the workflow of the modern-day barista.

Covering a small footprint with its simplistic design, Wally Milk enables baristas to steam milk at an exceptional standard – no matter their skillset or the variety of milk is being used.

Just like any barista, Wally Milk plays a key part in the coffee offering of a café or hospitality venue. It’s compatible with any brand or model of espresso machine and can preset up to 20 customisable recipes, allowing users to seamlessly switch between milk varieties, preset temperatures, and programmed textures.

Using the automated steamer, baristas have the freedom to personalise their milk-based beverages with confidence in every pour. Wally Milk was designed to steam milk to the highest standard with no specialist training required from the user – whether it’s an oat cappuccino or extra hot soy latter, it’s unfazed by complex orders.

To avoid accidental burns when steaming, it’s fitted with a Pro-Touch Steam Wand that uses stainless steel double-wall technology to ensure no heat is transferred to the exterior of the wand and remains cool to touch. Developed to be OH&S safe, the steam wand is also programmed to self-purge between uses to avoid cross-contamination between milk varieties.

What’s more, it’s simple to program and operate, and avoids the need for any complex routine maintenance. Treating the product as an additional steam wand, baristas are encouraged to wipe down Wally Milk’s steam wand after each use and soak it to ensure quality and consistency for years to come.

Four years on from the launch of the innovative milk steamer, the La Marzocco team say Wally Milk has grown to be recognised as a dynamic product and has been embraced by a broad range of hospitality venues.

Fitting seamlessly into the coffee offering of all manner of out-of-home venues, Wally Milk is used to support a café’s entire milk service during peak hours, allowing specialty coffee venues such as Maker Coffee in Melbourne to focus on the extraction of its incredible coffee. Other notable businesses embracing Wally Milk include the Soul Origin franchise, which has begun installing the automatic milk steamer across its locations to ensure a high level of consistency and service.

“Wally Milk ensures baristas make the most of every pour without sacrificing quality,” say the La Marzocco team. “With Wally Milk, the possibilities are endless.”
