Local Melbourne reusable brand made by Fressko has announced that they will launch a co-branded CafeSmart reusable coffee cup to help raise much-needed funds for marginalised communities across Australia.

Avaialble in canary yellow, the coffee cup will be available from the made by Fressko website, with $5 from each sale donated to the CafeSmart campaign.

“We have seen the CafeSmart movement grow here in Melbourne year on year and wanted to get involved. Our co-branded coffee cups are a way of us supporting the amazing work StreetSmart does for marginalised communities across Australia. We also offer our co-branded cups at a discounted wholesale price to cafe owners to further encourage donations,” says made by Fressko Marketing Director Hayley Culley.

StreetSmart’s campaign CafeSmart is now in its 11th year and launches on Homelessness Week from 1 to 7 August 2022. Since its inception, it has raised over $1.6M across 1000 projects to help tackle homelessness.

In Australia, there are over 116,000 people experiencing homelessness at any given night. Homelessness Week aims to raise awareness of the impact of homelessness in Australia and support those who need it most.

Cafés, roasters, and lovers of coffee across Australia will have the chance to support the cause in the first week of August by buying a cup of coffee at participating cafés with $1 being donated to the cause and double down by purchasing a co-branded CafeSmart x made by Fressko cup.

“We are so excited to have the support from made by Fressko this year, and we can’t wait to see people with their own CafeSmart branded Fressko cups. It shows they not only care about the planet but also about having a positive social impact across Australia,” says StreetSmart Australia Partnerships Director Cynthia Mac Caddon.

made by Fressko says people can support CafeSmart’s campaign by visiting a participating CafeSmart café and purchasing a cup of coffee, visiting made by Fressko and purchasing a co-branded coffee cup, or uploading a photo to social media and using the hashtags#HomelessnessWeek21 and #EverybodyNeedsAHome.
