Venus Packaging on how its solutions helped one roaster more than double its hourly output.

Australian-owned packaging solutions provider Venus Packaging recently visited the operations team of Proud Mary Coffee Roasters in Collingwood, Melbourne. The roastery currently uses the Audion All In Band Sealer from Venus Packaging to seal its coffee bags, which the team say has been a major upgrade to their previous machine.

“Previously, they used the VHS Constant Heat Sealer – a foot-operated machine that sealed one bag at a time. Since upgrading to the band sealer, their hourly output has more than doubled,” says Laura Venus, Director of Venus Packaging.

With the heat sealer, Proud Mary had a packing capacity of 200 kilograms of coffee per hour, but now the band sealer has bumped this up to 470 kilograms per hour.

“The guys at Proud Mary have mastered the art of packing both 250-gram and 1-kilogram coffee bags without compromising on packaging efficiency or quality,” says Laura.

After some trial and error, Proud Mary quickly discovered the ideal conveyor belt speed that accommodates both bag sizes.

“Using the Audion All In Band Sealer, their packaging process is now faster, more efficient, and seamlessly keeps up with their growing demand,” says Laura.

What’s more, Venus Packaging said their sales team are always ready to assist when it comes to finding the ideal packaging solution.  And beyond sales, the service team is available for machine setup, maintenance and support to ensure equipment operates smoothly.

“With decades of industry experience and a strong focus on quality, we help businesses streamline their operations with reliable and efficient packaging solutions,” says Laura.

Venus Packaging is a 100 per cent Australian owned and operated packaging business with more than 65 years of experience in the food packaging sector. The company carries a broad range of packaging supplies from machinery to bags and rubber bands. Its food packaging range includes heat sealers, band sealers, food wrap dispensers, poly bags, PP bags, and more.
