La Marzocco is launching its Connected Days event, a presentation exploring connectivity and its impact on shaping the new generation of espresso machines.

The live-streamed keynote event, which is the first of its kind hosted by the company, will take place on 19 March (3am AEDT).

La Marzocco has introduced a range of innovations aimed at improving coffee quality and sustainability across the entire coffee production process. These advancements include smart manufacturing techniques, enhanced user experiences, and improved functionality. Additionally, the company has developed a project focused on monitoring the health of coffee plants to contribute to sustainability efforts.

Over the past ten years, the company has made investments to modernise its infrastructure to better support its workforce. This has included significant funding for research and development, the establishment of Internet of Things (IoT) facilities, and the enhancement and upgrade of its production lines.

These improvements are said to have created safer work environments, more efficient production, and enhanced functionality in espresso machines and grinders.

The integration of IoT gateways in most new La Marzocco espresso machines and grinders is designed to increase personalisation for users and to “match espresso quality with repeatable consistency”.

The Connected Days live stream will be accessible through the event’s dedicated webpage.
