The Bean Cartel has been afforded the opportunity to be a coffee lover’s final impression of Melbourne following the announcement they will be the first specialty coffee roaster at Melbourne Airport’s Coffee Capital.

Located in Terminal 3, Coffee Capital will highlight boutique, Victorian roasters, and will start its run with The Bean Cartel in mid-July. The residency will last for an initial four months.

Across its four terminals, Melbourne Airport is already home to an extensive range of cafés that include other local roasters including Axil Coffee Roasters and ST. ALi.

“We’re beyond proud to be the first specialty roaster featured in Coffee Capital, a rotating coffee residency opening soon at Virgin Terminal 3,” The Bean Cartel announced on social media.

“From smashing single origins to anything but basic blends, if you’re flying out, swing by and let us caffeinate you before you get high in the sky.”

The Bean Cartel Owner, Stacy Visser, says the “team is buzzing to be the first to represent at Coffee Capital”, while fellow Director Alison Visser says the roaster is “excited for the opportunity to showcase what [they] do”.

The Coffee Capital concept has been driven by travel food and beverage brand SSP, which represents more than 100 units in 12 Australian airports, one New Zealand airport, along with other metropolitan and regional Australian locations.
