The Bean Cartel is celebrating a pair of gold medals and an overall runner-up finish from the 2025 Golden Bean Australasia awards.
The Melbourne specialty roaster earned gold in both the Espresso and Filter categories, with the winning beans roasted by Master Roaster Alan Chan. Apricot Delight was the gold medal recipient for Espresso (Category 1), while Colombia Maypop won gold in Filter (Category 3).
Central Coast and Hunter Region roasters Glee Coffee Roasters was named the overall champion of the event, with The Bean Cartel finishing as runner-up by a solitary point.
Founder of The Bean Cartel Stacy Visser praised the continued pursuit of excellence in the business that has helped lead to this recognition.
“Winning two gold medals at the Golden Bean awards and placing runner-up overall by just one point is a massive milestone for us,” says Stacy.
