Toby’s Estate Coffee Roasters has announced the first Swirl Club event will be held on 30 March at its Alexandria Warehouse from 5pm to 9pm.
The second round of Swirl Club will take place on 25 May at Toby’s Estate’s Coffee Studio in Perth from 5pm to 9pm. The third round will take place on 27 July at Toby’s Estate’s Brisbane Warehouse from 5pm to 9pm. The fourth round will take place on 28 September at the Slayer Showroom in Melbourne from 5pm to 9pm. The finale will take place on 16 November back at Toby’s Estate’s Alexandria Warehouse from 5pm to 9pm.
With six unique rounds, Swirl Club is more than just a latte art smackdown competition. Baristas go head-to-head in a knockout format testing their day to day skills from dialling in to making orders.
Prizes for each heat include $500 cash for third place, $1000 cash for second place, and $3000 cash for first place, plus goodies from event sponsors for placing. The top eight competitors from each heat is guaranteed entry into the finale in Sydney. Prizes for the Sydney Finals in November include $5000 cash for third place, $10,000 cash for second place, and $15,000 cash for first place, plus goodies from event sponsors for placing.
First place from each interstate event will have flights and accommodation covered to compete in the Sydney Final.
