Veneziano Coffee Roasters will open the doors to its first Sydney shop in Surry Hills on 15 March.

With two existing and operating Veneziano cafés in Adelaide and Brisbane, Sydney will become the third café location of the specialty coffee roaster.

“We’re so excited to finally launch our new home in Sydney, a project that’s been in the works for a while,” says Veneziano Managing Director Craig Dickson. “We want to bring our love of specialty coffee to Surry Hills and share our story and the stories of our growers and roasters with a community who appreciates coffee as much as we do.”

Coffee Ambassador of Veneziano Coffee Roasters, and previous National Barista Champion and current Southern Region Barista Champion, Craig Simon says it’s exciting to bring Veneziano Coffee to new markets. “We believe the specialty coffee industry in Sydney has extraordinary momentum,” he says.

Veneziano Coffee Roasters will serve its favourite coffees to Surry Hills locals including its seasonal Bond St blend and rotating selection of seasonal microlots, available in takeaway or dine-in.

The inspiration behind the space’s design was all about making the coffee shine. The achieved minimalist aesthetic was a collaboration between Veneziano’s Melbourne and Sydney design teams.

The space features a world-class training studio where Veneziano will run barista classes for beginners, right through to advanced professional, and special events to share its knowledge and love for coffee to coffee lovers and professionals.

The public will be able to purchase coffee from Thursday 15 March from 7am at 352 Bourke Street, Surry Hills, NSW 2010. Short Stop donuts will be available to purchase.

Customers will also have the opportunity to win free coffee for an entire year, simply by purchasing one cup of coffee on the opening day – that’s $1752 worth of sweet, caffeinated goodness. One cup will be marked with the Veneziano wings, indicating the lucky cup and the lucky winner. The competition will run from 7am to 3pm on the opening day.

Founded in 2000, Veneziano Coffee Roasters operate out of Richmond, Victoria, roasting and supplying specialty coffee to cafes nationally.

After 25 years’ experience in the industry, Rocky Veneziano and Craig Dickson got tired of low-grade coffee and the lack of transparency in the industry, so they blazed their own trail to find and share specialty coffee – and Veneziano Coffee Roasters was born.

Veneziano Coffee Surry Hills will open Monday to Friday 7am – 3pm, Saturday 8am – 3pm, Sunday 8am – 12pm.
