Coffee roasters’ reliance on pedestal-mounted constant heat sealers to ensure beans stay fresh and ready for distribution may be changing, according to Venus Packaging Director Laura Venus.

While pedestal-mounted sealers are an industry staple, Laura says Venus Packaging’s VHSB Constant Heat Sealer can deliver the same dependable sealing performance as traditional pedestal units but in a compact benchtop design.

Priced at under $1000, the VHSB uses a smooth side-lever action to seal bags at a seal depth of 15 millimetres. It is bench-mountable to provide extra stability, and its 300-millimetre-wide seal can seal thicknesses of up to 2 x 250µm. It also has an in-built temperature gauge to ensure accuracy.

“The VHSB is a proven performer, it’s just not as well-known as its pedestal counterparts,” says Laura.

“Its sleek white finish gives it a clean, modern look, while its robust build ensures years of reliable service. It brings professional grade sealing within easy reach of roasters of all sizes.

“We want to remind roasters that they have a choice and there are multiple different models to suit different production setups, different coffee bag fabrications, and operator preferences.”

Labelled as perfect for businesses that want a space-saving solution without compromising on quality by Laura, the VHSB Constant Heat Sealer will be available from Venus Packaging from early September 2025, and can be supported with spare parts and the company’s Service Team.
