Allegra Events has announced the inaugural Los Angeles Coffee Festival will take place from 9 to 11 November, 2018.

The festival will be Los Angeles’ flagship coffee event to celebrate the city’s burgeoning specialty coffee scene.

Located at Magic Box at The Reef in LA, professionals, beginners, coffee aficionados, and key industry stakeholder are invited to attend and visit more than 60 artisan coffee and food stalls, meet local and international roasters, taste hundreds of different coffees, and celebrate Los Angeles’ vibrant coffee scene.

The Los Angeles Coffee Festival will also launch a new concept called The LA Kitchen, where guests can join Los Angeles’ star chefs for demonstrations, workshops and talks in a casual dining zone. Expect fiery demos, workshops and talks lead by culinary legends.

Coffee Mixologists will also be making it’s US debut. This event will see some of the world’s most talented baristas and mixologists join forces in a quest to deliver the ultimate coffee cocktail to a panel of expert judges.

Coffee Mixologists was launched at The Amsterdam Coffee Festival in 2017. In this competiton, bartenders and baristas will compete as teams of two to showcase their craft, innovation and teamwork through four rounds and three days of competition. Teams will be asked to create a new, innovative coffee cocktail with various secret ingredients supplied. The four teams with the highest score advance to the semi-finals, then finals.

The prize is the title of Coffee Mixologists – Los Angeles 2018, and $US2000. For more information, click here.

A percent of ticket sales will be donated to Project Waterfall, to support life-changing water projects in coffee growing regions. Since 2011, Project Waterfall has raised over $1 million, bringing clean water to more than 25,000 people in coffee growing communities across seven countries.
