Bureaux Collective is hosting a coffee-themed trivia night at its Abbotsford venue on 25 July to celebrate its third anniversary.
The Great Coffee Pub Quiz will see 20 teams of six meet in a battle of the minds, where every question is about coffee and Anita Smith of Cherry Tree Hotel’s Mrs. Smith’s Trivia presides as quizmaster.
“We’re super excited to be celebrating our third birthday, and it wouldn’t be a celebration without fun. What’s more fun than a pub quiz? A fair bit, but this isn’t just any old trivia night, this is The Great Coffee Pub Quiz. We love our new space, and although we’ve already hosted some great events here, they’ve been more focused on learning, exploring and tasting – and there are plenty of those events happening in coffee,” Bureaux Collective’s Tim Varney says.
“We know coffee people love to get competitive, but equally love to let their hair down, so a light-hearted pub quiz is surely the way to go. So you think you know your pulped naturals from your pacamaras? What about your cascara from your coffea canefora? We want to see anyone and everyone in the Melbourne coffee scene get a team together and put their coffee knowledge to the test.”
Prize hampers will be awarded to the top three team, and giveaways will occur throughout the night. Drinks, snacks, and of course, birthday cake, will be available on the night.
Participants can enter in teams of six or with an individual ticket and will be put in an additional team on the night.
