MFC Roasters will have a presence at the Good Food & Wine Show from 3 – 5 June at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.

MFC will feature a brew bar near the show’s Artisan Square, with three coffees available for the public to try. They include the Organic Roast, with it’s dark chocolate and soft berry flavours; the Capital Roast with milk chocolate, toffee and honeycomb-type flavours; and Seasonal Blend No.1, which MFC’s Justin Mellors says he is “particularly pleased with” this year. This blend features a combination of caramel praline and chocolate notes.

“The interesting thing about offering these coffees to the general public is seeing which one the prefer. At last year’s Royal Melbourne Show, despite the fact that the Organic Roast had just won a Gold medal at the Australian International Coffee Awards and we all thought it would sell really well, the Capital Roast ran a close second and nearly outsold it,” Justin said.

“We got tremendous public feedback on the back of that event, and once again we will be pulling out all stops with the Good Food and Wine Show to hit a high standard.”

MFC’s experienced baristas will be serving coffees on a La Marzocco Linea PB, and will be on hand to answer questions and share their passion for all things coffee.

The Good Food & Wine show celebrates the best in food and beverage that Australia has to offer. With more than 200 local, national and international exhibitors, the event is set to attract thousands of visitors looking to indulge their foodie passions.

This year’s show features a number of celebrities and experts cooking live on stage in the Good Food Theatre, including Colin Fassnidge, Matt Moran, and Miguel Maestre.

Other attractions include a Cellar Door section for wine appreciation, a Grazing Garden for show goers to share a bite and drink with friends, Tucker’s Natural Cheese Alley to indulge in dairy delights, Brewers Lane to find a new favourite beer, Maggie Beer’s Table to sample the cook’s favourite soups and ice creams, or Artisan Square to go behind the labels of boutique producers.

To celebrate MFC’s appearance at the Good Food and Wine Show, the Melbourne-based roaster is giving away three double passes to the show. Each winner will also receive a retail bag of MFC coffee, available for collection from the stand at the show.

To win, simply “like” this news post on BeanScene’s Facebook page, and tag a friend you’d like to take to the show. Competition ends Monday at midnight. Winners to be announced on Tuesday 31 May.

MFC Roasters is a boutique specialty coffee company with roasting facilities located in Melbourne’s outer north, and a sales office in Kew.
