New café Cold Brew Coffee Bar has launched in Brunswick, Victoria, dedicated to cold brew coffee, right next door to local favourite Juanito’s.
“We love cold brew and its absolutely the focus of our tap and bottled products. We offer plenty of other drinks as well – on tap, in the fridge, hot batch brew and hot tea,” says Co-Owner Leigh Mellington.
Leigh, who also owns Beat Coffee in Reservoir, says the inspiration behind the new café came from his long-time love of cold brew and nitro in particular, as well as co-owner Corey Cresswell’s affection for the local area and his local café Juanito’s.
Leigh says he has been making cold brew with Beat Coffee since 2014 and believes you don’t need an espresso machine for great coffee.
“We’re attempting to activate a much-loved space beside Juanito’s by complementing and expanding upon his popular rolls and espresso, with coffee also supplied by Beat,” says Leigh.
“We think this is a somewhat uniquely focused coffee/tap concept. Cold Brew Coffee Bar is a place where people can come for specialty coffee, tea, kombucha and soft drink on tap, in a bar atmosphere promoting community and love of great products.”
Cold Brew Coffee Bar’s products are 100 per cent plant based.
“We also offer vegan and gluten free snacks from Plant Baked and Sweet Nectar, with plenty more to come,” he says.
