Newly transitioned Seven Miles Coffee Roasters (formerly Belaroma) will host an Industry Forum event on Thursday 10 November in Sydney.

Seven Miles has invited some of the industry’s most influential speakers to talk about one of the most intriguing topics: defining specialty coffee.

“The specialty coffee scene has exploded over the last decade. What was once a niche segment has now achieved critical mass driven by the success of established industry pioneers, an influx of small batch roasters, and a nation obsessed in great coffee,” Seven Miles CEO Tim Jones says.

“This forum is about re-grouping as an industry to discuss what it takes to earn specialty status in 2016 and beyond, and what we need to be focusing our collective efforts on to ensure we continue to build and nurture a strong and sustainable industry into the future.”

Hear from industry identities including 2015 World Barista Champion Sasa Sestic of Ona Coffee, Tuli Keidar of Mecca, Sean McManus of Neighbourhood, Emily Oak of St Ali, and many more as the guest speakers strip back the hype and define what specialty coffee means today, the state of the industry, what matters, and what’s to come.

Catering will be provided thanks to Eat Art Truck and Nomad Brewing Co.

This is a free event taking place at 6.30pm at 75 Kenneth Road, Manly Vale 2093, NSW. Places are strictly limited. Register online to reserve your place.
