How can supply ordering platforms differentiate themselves from the competition? Currently, there is a whole suite of applications and software competing to provide their services in the hopes of streamlining the wholesale supply process.

Stokd, founded by pastry chef Joseph Stock, is one of the newest additions to the market. Joseph says the accuracy and streamlined nature of his system is a game changer in the space.

“Where we are really changing the game is live data. Our Menu COGS tool pulls real-time pricing from suppliers, so costings are always accurate, with no more chasing spreadsheets or guessing margins,” he says.

“We connect venues with their existing suppliers with zero disruption, giving them the choice to keep trade terms or pay by card. Adding a new supplier for a product is as simple as a search.

“The result? Ordering, invoicing, and costing all in one clean flow. No double-handling, no outdated pricing, and no bouncing between apps. Just a faster, smarter way to run back of house.”

Joseph says Stokd has been designed to help give time back and make things easier for those running cafés and in charge or supply ordering.

“In hospitality, time is the most valuable resource, yet most ordering platforms still force venues to juggle multiple systems, manual updates, and clunky workflows. Stokd was built to remove that noise.”
