The world has become obsessed with Dubai chocolate and pistachio in the second half of 2025, and the product has quickly earned a cult following among consumers – much like the humble avocado.

One Sydney café has taken the leap of combining the two fan-favourite ingredients as part of its limited time summer menu.

Happyfield in the Inner-West Sydney suburb of Haberfield has launched its Avocado Pistachio Dubai Chocolate Sundae, which will only be available for one month.

The sundae features avocado cream – made with Hass avocado and pistachio – layered between vanilla soft serve and magic chocolate sauce, finished with crushed kataifi.

Happyfield Co-Owner Jesse Orleans says the creation of the new menu item, which was made in collaboration with Australian Avocados Foodservice, says it’s up to venues to create new and exciting menu items using customer favourites ingredients.

“Avocados are a staple in Australian café culture,” says Jesse.

“We want to inspire other chefs to think beyond avo toast, put it in your sauces, dressings, desserts, and drinks.

“It’s such a versatile ingredient and we’re blessed with the freshest local produce.”
