The Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA) is calling for volunteers at the Condesa Co Lab 2020 Australian Coffee Championships, taking place in Adelaide from 27 to 30 March.

Volunteers who love all things coffee, want experience in event management, or to find out what goes behind the scenes at a national event, are encouraged to apply.

The national competitions are ASCA’s highlight event of the year, bringing together the country’s top coffee talent. Volunteers will get a chance to work up close and personal with the best baristas around, with a close-up look at their competitions.

Such voluntary positions will include runners, timekeepers, station monitors and backstage and onstage runners.

Volunteers play a huge role in ensuring the event runs smoothly.

ASCA has been asked to recommend volunteers for the World Barista Championship and World Brewers Cup in Melbourne next year and volunteering at a regional competition is a pre-requisite for this recommendation.

Volunteering at ASCA competitions is also an opportunity to get up close and personal with your favourite baristas, and network in the coffee industry.

More experienced members of the industry are encouraged to apply to emcee.

If you can be in Adelaide from 27 to 30 March and would like to volunteer, send an email to ethan.miller@primecreative.com.au
