Almond Breeze Barista Blend is set to host 2018 World Barista Champion Agnieszka “Aga” Rojewska on a specialist coffee tour of Australia and New Zealand.

The visit will see the Polish national host coffee masterclasses at venues in Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland, where she will share her knowledge, expertise, and provide tips on what it takes to compete on the global stage in the highly competitive and growing coffee industry.

Last year, Aga was the first female barista to win the World Barista Championship since the event’s inception in 2000.

Michael McNulty, Australia and New Zealand Country Manager for Almond Breeze Barista Blend, is thrilled to be supporting Aga and her tour of the region.

“Aga has incredible clout in the global coffee industry, from her talent in latte art to understanding the science behind what it takes to prepare and truly master the perfect coffee. She is a true coffee rock star for those in the scene,” Michael says.

“We can’t wait to have her tour Australia and New Zealand with us, Almond Breeze Barista Blend, and celebrate our unique and growing craft. I’m sure she’ll be impressed with our stellar local coffee credentials.”

Almond Breeze Barista Blend says it and industry platform BaristasforBaristas.comare committed to driving the trans-Tasman coffee industry and barista community forward through news, resources, information, and thought leadership.

Baristas For Baristas was created to provide a platform where baristas could obtain industry knowledge and skills to allow for further development in the increasingly important business sector. From this, a study was commissioned to better understand what keeps the community up at night.

Results released in the first Australian Barista Census (ABC) showed that 20 per cent of baristas are unsure of where and how to access specialist training, highlighting the importance of the program to the development of the industry in Australia and New Zealand.

Aga will also form part of the judging team at Almond Breeze Barista Blend’s Breezey Masters latte art competition finals at Specialty Coffee Curators in Sydney on World Coffee Day, 1st October 2019, with more guest judges to be announced soon.

The Aga Rojewska tour dates are as follows:

  • Sydney 1 October 2019
  • Melbourne 2nd October 2019
  • Auckland 4th October 2019

Locations will be announced at a later date.

Limited release tickets will be available FREE on BaristasforBaristas.com at 10am AEST on 3 September.
