Following the success of web shop platform shipsbeans.com, software solutions provider Cropster has launched shipsbeans.com/getcoffee, a free, open directory customers can search to find coffee in their neighbourhood or across the world.

“With shipsbeans.com the first goal was to help support coffee businesses get their coffees online quickly. The most frequent second request was to help people find great coffee from businesses that are open during the pandemic. So we focused our efforts on a free and open directory available to everyone,” Cropster CEO Andreas Idl says.

“GetCoffee is built to support every roastery and cafe. It’s free and open and we will be promoting it across multiple channels to get the word out to their customers as well.”

Cropster’s goal with GetCoffee is to help customers and coffee businesses connect during these challenging times.

Cropster says shipsbeans.com/GetCoffee focuses on what customers need now:

  • Details of who is open and who is shipping
  • Where businesses are located
  • Delivery and take-away options
  • Business hours
  • Additional resources like website and social media
  • Fundraisers
  • Links to online shops

“As soon as it became obvious businesses would have to operate differently, we saw lots of people coming up with creative solutions to support their customers. But, people need a place to get the latest information as conditions change, a single place where they can find out who is open, who is delivering, running a fundraiser, et cetera. An open and updateable directory helps customers find their favourite coffee shops and roasteries now,” says Isa Verschraegen, Product Manager for Cafe at Cropster.

“As a former barista and café owner, I realise how uncertain and scary these times are. It’s critical for roasteries and retail businesses to reach customers and generate revenue in any way possible. GetCoffee serves as a one-stop-shop for businesses to communicate accurate info, and customers to support where they can.”

Australian businesses Tapestry Coffee Roasters in New South Wales and Offshoot Coffee and Five Senses Coffee in Western Australia are among the first to join GetCoffee.
