While thousands make their way to Amsterdam to enjoy the World Barista Championships, taking place until 23 June, don’t forget to explore all the new industry equipment on offer at World of Coffee.

At the La Marzocco stand, drop by booth #B34 | A27 and  discover the European premiere of Modbar AV. See the new reliable and consistent espresso machine that offers top brewing performance and an enhanced hospitality experience.

In the words of La Marzocco Product Manager, Scott Guglielmino: “Modbar AV is about simplifying the interaction between barista and customer, the experience of making coffee, the technical needs – all while making it look beautiful.”

Don’t forget to visit the True Artisan Cafe where more than 25 roasters from the world over will be serving their craft and signature drinks on a diverse range of specialty coffee equipment, from the La Marzocco Leva, Strada EP, Modbar AV or Linea PB. For more information on La Marzocco machines, click here.

At World of Coffee, Mazzer is supplying four digital ZM grinders for the show’s Cupping Room areas.

The ZM features such as the digital micrometric grind adjustment, almost 0 retention, meaning it’s possible to switch from one origin to another without contaminations of coffee, and the electronic True Zero calibration, making the ZM an ideal choice for the show’s daily cuppings.

At booth n. B29 – C30, visitors will have the opportunity to also test the new Robur S firsthand.

“We’ve taken one of the Mazzer’s best-loved grinders, Robur, and turned it into a champion: Robur S,” says Luca Maccatrozzo, Sales Director of Mazzer Luigi Spa. “Robur S is a high-performance grinder for high-volume coffee shops, it combines advanced technology and superior performance. It’s barista-friendly, efficient and time-saving.”

Also try the new Kold S. Besides enhanced performance in terms of consistency and retention, Kold S is meant to keep coffee cool. The coffee gets protected against exposure to heat even in cases of extended grinding times, thanks to a specifically designed mechanical construction and to the double cooling system. Over at the Wega Macchine per Caffè stand , B38, visitors can check out the Urban, Wega’s latest creation, designed specifically for coffee professionals.

The Urban features Wega Power Boost for enhanced yield in extremely busy periods, Wega Power Steam for dry steam that supply a foaming milk, with drier characteristics, and a lower percentage of condensation, and Wega Power Regulation, which allows accurate temperature monitoring thanks to enhanced temperature regulators.

The Urban is equipped with all the latest and most advanced technologies on the market, including a steam tap with a dedicated knob that allows the practical and fast rotation of only 90°C, both in opening and closing, the ability to communicate directly to customer service, and the optional inclusion of a Wi-Fi packet allowing all the machine’s functions and programming to be controlled remotely via laptop, tablet or smartphone.

Also on display will be the 3-group Vela Vintage, the 2-group Polaris, and the 2-group Mininova Ema. For more information, visit www.cwe.com.au

The Astoria Storm featured on stand E31 – F34 at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre will be showcased to the public in a few of its available versions and colour combinations, both standard and FRC models.

In addition, visitors and coffee professionals can immerse themselves in the Storm world along with Caleb Cha (WLAC Champion 2015), Michalis Dimitrakopoulos (WCIGS Champion 2016) and Arnon Thitiprasert (WLAC Champion 2017). For the duration of the event, these star baristas will rotate their participation at sessions of sensory specialties and latte art shows to offer visitors the opportunity to taste personalised extractions made possible by the Astoria coffee machines. For more information on the Storm, visit www.astoria.com

Want to win a Mythos One grinder? At World of Coffee, one lucky person will win a Mythos One by entering the ‘Beat the Champion’ contest on the Victoria Arduino stand D26. Simply guess who will be the 2018 World Barista Champion.

Take a photo in the contest corner and post it on Instagram with hashtags @victoriaarduino1905, #BetTheChampion #GoCountryName (with the name of the country you believe will win the WBC e.g. #GoItaly). Whoever guesses the 2018 World Barista Champion and has the most ‘likes’ will win the Mythos One. Further details of the contest here.

Victoria Arduino will also host a range of specialty coffee roasters on its stand. Visitors to stand D26 C31 will get to experience roasters and microroasters offering new blends from different countries, including BeanZ Cafè, La Bohème, Finca Sant’Elena, Mocca d’Or, Origo, Question Coffee, Röststätte Berlin, Seven Fortunes, S.O.E Coffee and Square Mile Coffeee Roasters.

Each roaster will offer samples of its specialty coffee extracted with three different weights set on three different machine groups, taking advantage of the possibilities offered by Gravimetric technology.

Thanks to Victoria Arduino’s “Why Every Gram matters” contest, visitors can see and taste just how the appropriate weight for that particular type of coffee can offer all its aromas to full advantage.
