The blend’s newest origin also supports a very worth cause – the Orangutan Coffee Project (OCP) in Indonesia which focuses on two main initiatives.
First, coffee farmers must comply with strict environmental measures that help protect Sumatra’s fragile ecosystem. Second, it supports an orangutan conservation program that cares for, protects, and rehabilitates injured, orphaned, and rescued orangutans. Locale has committed to an ongoing partnership with OCP and recently visited Sumatra to see first hand how the programs are benefiting the communities, rainforest conservation, and the endangered local wildlife.
