World Coffee Events confirms WBC and WBrC preliminary schedule

World Barista Championship preliminary schedule

World Coffee Events has released the schedules of the preliminary rounds of the the 2019 World Barista Championship (WBC) and World Brewers Cup (WBrC). The first round of the WBC will take place from 11 to 12 April, the the WBrC open service and compulsory rounds occurring on 12 and 13 April.

Matthew Lewin of Ona Coffee will represent Australia in the WBC, his performance beginning at 11:40am Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on 11 April, or 1:40am Sydney and Melbourne time on 12 April.

New Zealand’s Dove Chen of Grey Street Kitchen will begin his WBC performance at 3:03pm EDT on 12 April, or 7:03am NZ time.

Sixteen WBC semi-finalists will be announced at 5:30pm EDT on 12 April, or 7:30am Sydney and Melbourne time on 13 April.

On 13 April, Australia’s Yanina Ferreyra of Project Origin will take he cart to the WBrC stage for open service at 12:30pm EDT, with her performance beginning at 12:45pm EDT, or 2:45am Sydney and Melbourne time on 14 April.

WBrC finalists will be announced at 4:30pm EDT on 13 April, or 6:30am Sydney and Melbourne time on 14 April.

The 2019 WBC and WBrC will be held in Boston, United States as part of the Specialty Coffee Expo, taking place from 11 to 14 April..
