There’s just 73 days before Brazil hosts the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, but Campos Coffee is already going for gold.

Campos has released its Gold Series, featuring the winner of the 2015 Brazil Natural Cup of Excellence  – Sitio Sao Sebastiao.

“We’re excited to bring to Australia this year’s #1 Brazil Natural coffee as awarded by Cup of Excellence (COE) competition. On Friday 27 and Saturday 28 May we’ll be offering this exceptional coffee through our flagship and participating café partners until sold out,” said Campos Coffee’s Will Young.

“The COE is the most prestigious award given to high quality coffee and we’re proud to offer the opportunity for our drinkers to taste this high impact coffee.”

Sitio Sao Sebastiao comes from Cristina, south of Minas Gerais in Brazil. This region is so unique that it’s recognised with Protected Geographical Indication, putting it in same league as Darjeeling Tea, Gruyere cheese, and many French wines.

The international COE jury scored this coffee 94.47 in the December 2015 competition. It is a result of 20 years of determination, passion and hard work from Sebastiao Afonso Da Silva and his family.
