Double Shot Coffee Fiesta announces line-up

The Double Shot Coffee Fiesta has announced the line-up of its Patio Coffee Roaster Industry Stage.

The City of Unley-held event, taking place on 4 November, will host a number of presentations, panel discussions and masterclasses to showcase South Australia’s coffee knowledge.

The line-up begins with a panel discussion titled Beyond the Barista at 10:20am. Other panel discussion throughout the day include Unpacking SA’s Roasters – The Day in the Life of a Coffee Roaster at 11:40am, and Coffee Is a Fruit – The Bush to Cup Journey at 1:10pm.

Keynote speaker Dr. Nicole Motteux will hold a presentation titled Connect, Empower, Advance People in Coffee at 11:10am.

Josh Rivers of Cream café, and 2017 Western Region Latte Art Champion, will reveal how to create a brand using social media in a presentation at 12:10pm.

Dominic Ossa of Dawn Patrol Coffee will host a presentation titled Innovation in Our Backyard – How to Make Café Quality Coffee at Home at 12:55pm.

Andrew Mitchell of Patio Coffee Roasters will present Specialty Coffee Roasting – Your Backstage Pass at 1:40 pm,

Ian Callahan, Director of Lo. Ki café, will hold a tea brewing masterclass at 10:50 am and Lachlan Berger of Toby’s Estate Coffee will hold a coffee brewing masterclass at 12:25pm.

Closing out the program is an industry Latte Art Smackdown, scheduled for 2pm.

The festival will also include the Australian Specialty Coffee Association 2019 Western Region Coffee Championships, held in the Unley Town Hall, for the third year in a row.

This year, the Double Shot Coffee FIesta will explore the theme of coffee with a conscience. Event sponsors say Double Shot has massive potential to inspire conversation and ignite support for the local milk industry and its farmers.

“Over the past five years we have built up Double Shot to become one of the most respected events on the Australian coffee calendar from both an industry and community level,” City of Unley Event Management Specialist Carly Hemus says.

The event is a showcase for all things coffee and we are proud be showcasing Australia’s greatest coffee talent in Unley.”

The Double Shot Coffee Fiesta will be held at the Soldiers Memorial Gardens.
