Veneziano Coffee Roasters has announced it will launch a new range of cold brew coffee at the 2019 Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE) from 7 to 9 February.

Brewed over 24 hours to create a smooth full-bodied coffee, the range include three flavours – Hibiscus, Blood Orange, and Apple, Ginger and Rosella.

“We’ve also created a straight cold brew, made from seasonal micro-lot coffees that are bright and expressive,” Veneziano Managing Director Craig Dickson says.

“We’ll be giving out samples all weekend so please come and try them, and tell us which one you like best.”

Veneziano has also teamed up with Billson’s brewery to serve two signature drinks exclusive to MICE2019 at stand #80.

Veneziano will serve two signature beverages exclusive to MICE2019.

Served all day, the Bond St Americano features Veneziano’s signature Bond St espresso with Billson’s Blood Orange and Cardamom cordial, Moda sparkling, and a little orange mist to finish.

The Costa Rica Tonic will be available exclusively at 12pm each day. Costa Rica Finca Chispita filter creates the base, with Billson’s small batch tonic, pickled white peach syrup and a grapefruit twist for zing.

“Tasting coffee all day can make you pretty thirsty. [These cocktails] are as delicious as they are refreshing,” Craig says.

On 9 February, Veneziano will host a roasting masterclass with professional consultant Scott Rao at its Richmond venue. For more information, click here.

Across all three days of MICE2019, Scott and Luca Costanzo of Decent Espresso will showcase pour over techniques with the Decent De1Pro espresso machine. There will also be opportunities for Q&A with Scott.

Veneziano will also host cupping workshops at MICE2019, running twice daily at 11am and 3pm. Attendees can taste and discuss the differences in processing, varietal and terroir using a variety of coffees.

Contests will be run daily where attendees can attempt to guess the coffees correctly via a triangulation cupping to go in the running to win a yearly micro-lot subscription.
